About TrendSongs
TrendSongs is a free app that shows you at a glance the most played songs and albums across 30+ countries. Rankings are updated daily from the official Apple Music charts data.
How does it work?
Every day, we query the official Apple Music feeds ("Most Played" charts) for every covered country. The data is aggregated, historized, and made available on TrendSongs with per-country rankings, genre filters and a computed global top.
Data source
All data (song names, artwork, artists, genres) comes from the official public Apple Music feeds and the iTunes API. TrendSongs does not host or distribute any audio files — the 30-second previews are served directly by Apple. TrendSongs is not endorsed or certified by Apple.
How is the global top computed?
The TrendSongs global top combines the number of countries where a song is charting and its average position across those charts. A song charting in 25 countries with an average position of 4 ranks above a song that is #1 in a single country.
Genre filtering
You can filter the charts by genre (Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, Latin, K-Pop...) on the Songs and Albums pages. Filters are applied instantly without page reloads.
Statistics page
The Statistics page offers an overview of the charts: global top songs and albums, dominant genres, most present artists and release-year distribution. Data comes from the latest daily collection.

Is TrendSongs affiliated with Apple?
No. TrendSongs is an independent project that uses Apple's official public feeds. We are not affiliated with Apple or any streaming platform.
How often is the data updated?
Rankings are updated automatically every night, for each covered country.
Do the rankings reflect Spotify, Deezer, etc.?
Rankings are based on Apple Music plays. Trends are very similar across platforms, but exact positions may vary.
Can I listen to songs on TrendSongs?
Every song page offers the official 30-second preview provided by Apple, plus a direct link to listen to the full track on Apple Music.
Is TrendSongs free?
Yes, TrendSongs is completely free. The site is funded by advertising (Google AdSense). No sign-up required.
